This year is Dollywood’s 25th anniversary!
When Dolly Parton joined the Herschend brothers in 1986 to turn Silver Dollar City Tennessee into Dollywood, she hoped to create “The Friendliest Town in Tennessee” and “a special place where families can experience and enjoy all that [her] Smoky Mountain home has to offer.” She has certainly accomplished all that and more! Not only does Dollywood host more than 2.5 million guest every year, but they also provide jobs to more than 3,000 people in the area! What can you say?! Guests and locals alike enjoy spending time at Dollywood, and Sevier County residents are ever grateful for the definite lift that Dollywood has provided to local commerce across the board!
Dollywood is celebrating their 25th anniversary in a few different ways!
