Do you love the mountains, fine arts, and live music? Why not enjoy all three at the same time! Come to the Gatlinburg Fine Arts Festival.
The weekend will kick off Friday, May 13, 2011 with a special “Night With the Artist Party” at 6pm in the beautiful Mills Auditorium. There will be “abundant appetizers,” beer, wine, and a cash liquor bar, as well as entertainment provided by musicians who will be performing in Gatlinburg’s Tunes & Tales over the next few days! Come enjoy the party and meet the artists of the Fine Arts Festival. This year’s “Achievement Award” will be presented to Terri Waters and a presentation will be made of her wonderful artwork. Tickets for this special night are $50, and at the end of the night guests will be presented with a $50 voucher redeemable at any artist booth during the street fair the following two days. So this event is basically free, provided you pre-commit to purchasing some amazing artistic creations! And who wouldn’t want to?
Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a street fair, free for guests, on the Parkway in Gatlinburg. Exhibitors will be set up, showing off their fine creations: everything from jewelry to clothes, pottery to furniture, paintings to photography, and more! It’s free to look and admire, but even more fun to show your support for these wonderful artists by purchasing some of their beautiful creations to take home with you. There will also be live performances from Tunes & Tales, with musicians, dancers, and storytellers.
So come on down and enjoy the party!
